I wrote this poem, Words, about two years ago. From the beginning, I knew I wanted the insecurities repeated. to echo, but I just didn’t know how.
At first, I thought audience participation might be the answer. It wasn’t. That idea sent me down the rabbit hole of finding a looper. My knowledge of loopers was minimal at the time, but somehow I landed on the TC Helicon VoiceLive Play. After some time with it. Experimenting, failing, listening, I began to find a rhythm that felt true to the poem.
